Distraction campaign

John Samuelsen president of TWU Local 100 with his TBOU team have embarked on a distraction campaign to throw the membership off his back about the financial irregularities, but those who were ensnared with the credit card misuse may end up in hot water. However John Samuelsen is unable to admonish those who misused the credit card due to the fact that he was the kingpin in the credit card misuse.

Now he has to play a different hand on the on going financial irregularities. Thus his claim of the TWU International: first TWU International has changed the road rules midstream, two the TWU International does not use the same financial standard that they imposed on us, third TWU International is flip flopping with the financial standard so we are unable to know which one to follow. This is the same myth that a defense team on a murder charge claims in the court - we as reasonable jurors say send the murderer to jail for life and throw away the key. We witnessed one of our fellow co workers who gave his life just doing his work, bus operator Edwin Thomas. We also observed his defense team claiming he did not have a proper upbringing, he did not mean to kill the bus operator, the knife fell on its own on the bus operator - thus he should go free. We are not happy with that sentence due to the nature of that liberal judge - we would have loved if the judge was one of those hang em high from mayor Guiliani’s team. Sound familiar? That is what John Samuelsen is peddling here - instead of explaining his financial irregularities he has deployed his distraction campaign.

Not so fast Samuelsen - you have to come with an explanation - you have earned $150,632 in 2010 isn't that a significant amount? Isn't that enough? How come you used the American Express credit card to an amount of $13,459.20 without any explanation or receipts - that is an exorbitant figure. We here in why did you join the union believe you must reimburse TWU Local 100 any percuss of the charges as anyone who is reasonable will come to a conclusion that those charges were of personal nature. The obvious question would be is TWU Local 100 responsible for the personal charges of John Samuelsen? The obvious answer is no in addition to the loans made of $1297.

Now if John Samuelsen’s intention is to engage in a tug of war with TWU International - we will back him in the event if he produces documentation. Specifically stating that during the orientation in December 2009 that TWU International informed him: first that he can utilize the credit cards for personal charges, second he has to provide evidence not rhetoric that TWU International is using a different financial standard than the one imposed on us, third he has to provide papers that TWU International is flip flopping with financial standards. However we are not going to hold our breath because Samuelsen will not produce any of the requested evidence above. We here in why did you join the union believe that all those who had credit cards must pay up the amount allocated by the auditors - Samuelsen must set an example as a leader or role model to his fellow TBOU by paying up the amounts $13,459.20+$1297=$14,756.20 - he must clean his hands then after we can demand the rest to pay up not the other way.

It is obvious John Samuelsen is a compromised leader due to the financial irregularities he would not be able to stand face to face against Jay H Walder. Obviously the membership would lose in their fight for a rightful wage raise in the contract of 2012 due to Samuelsen’s distraction while we lose sight of what is important.
