First proposal - Is an assault on our seniority and pick rights. Why should it change to a more restrictive and rigid pick - we say stay the course with an annual system wide pick, with a division wide pick for north and south that takes place after six (6) months of the system wide pick.
Second proposal - There is a tremendous load on the number of individuals who are released - it is required to add more individuals allowed on paid release time in DCE.
Third proposal - No
Forth proposal - Not acceptable - why should the cleaners work out of classification? Those household maintenance belong to other divisions that have no relation to the Car Equipment Division.
Fifth proposal - Wash up is essential for health reasons. Imagine that an employer denies his worker, a dirty miner covered with soot the chance for him/her to clean up. That would be a ridiculous health hazard.
Sixth proposal - It does not make sense that an employee is to be locked in a yearly pick. The employer wants to reduce the notice from the current requirement of seven (7) days in changing the schedule of working hours to two (2) days. That is a possibility if the employee shall receive a double pay for the whole yearly pick.
