Mayor de Blasio said he won’t ease up on the city’s Vision Zero right of way law and wants to get tougher in enforcing it.
“We’re not going to weaken laws that protect people’s lives,” de Blasio said, amid a push by the Transport Workers Union to make bus drivers exempt from the law, making it a misdemeanor to kill or injure a pedestrian who has the right of way.
“We’re going to keep going deeper. We’re going to do more enforcement,” de Blasio said Sunday.
