Bus operators

Duties and responsibilities:

1. Responsible for the safe operation and proper care and condition of their buses.
2. Take every precaution for the safety of passengers and pedestrians.
3. Be familiar with rules and regulations and see that they are properly executed.
4. Accountable for the collection of fares.
5. Remit all tickets (block tickets, senior citizen, half fare, etc).
6. Do not deposit any fares in farebox, any fares or monies not deposited by passengers must be turned to the crew dispatcher.
7. Do not tamper with seals of farebox and all farebox seals must be inspected before taking bus into service.
8. Any violation of (e, f, g) is governed as mishandling of fares.
9. Make relief only at designated relief points and at specified times unless otherwise instructed. Never leave bus until properly relieved or surrender bus to employee unfit for duty.
10. Proper route and destination signs must be displayed.
11. Keep doorways, aisles and passenger way clear.
12. If a passenger becomes disorderly, annoying or dangerous ask him to leave bus at next designated stop upon refusal report to control.
13. Any equipment trouble must be reported to control.
14. Out of order farebox must be reported to control or a member of supervision at first opportunity.
15. Be familiar with transfer privileges of the routes you operate and of intersecting routes.
