Surface line dispatchers

Duties and responsibilities:

1. Reports to superintendent of transportation
2. In charge of the assignment of buses and bus operators, keeping accurate records of time worked by bus operators, keeping records of absent operators and maintain personal records, must see that operators are fit for duty and in proper uniform, remove any unfit for duty operator from service and report him to control.
3. Responsible for the transmission of orders, the rerouting of buses, reporting of accidents - their distribution to various department heads, must keep a running record of delays to service and reasons for delays.
4. Responsible for the operation of buses according to prescribed schedules, clearing blockages and restoring normal operations when delays occur, must assist in loading buses and check service and loads on buses at points designated by their supervisors.
5. Supervise the conduct and performance of operators and report any violation of rules - ride buses, note performance of operators and correct any improper actions.
