Proposal V


First proposal - Section 1.7 remove ‘economical’ since the prices are going up everyday and that has no relation to the employees. When diesel or steel track prices go up the employee did not cause that. Therefore why does the employee have to feel the pinch - it is ridiculous.
Second proposal - Section 1.6.B Employee Rights add the following - no employee will be discharged, disciplined or lose pay based on a covert management act. Further no entry of a warning or reprimand shall be made in the record - employee will receive a verbal warning for any wrong doing and the employee will be retrained.
Third proposal - Attachment A - contract 2005-2009 amend 1. Customer complaints with the following language ‘In the event there is a customer complaint no employee will be discharged, disciplined or lose pay based on customer complaint - no entry of a warning or reprimand shall be made in the record, employee will receive a verbal warning for any wrong doing and the employee will be retrained.’.
Forth proposal - Current members of TWU Local 100 and retirees will receive automatic cost-of-living (COLA) adjustment four times a year (quarterly).
Fifth proposal - Current members of TWU Local 100 and retirees and their family members will receive full health insurance coverage.
