Jail

sectreas_scan117.jpg
When Izzy Rivera was elected he had no backing from Mabstoa, and he was carried by John Samuelsen. Rivera should have been thankful and he should have appreciated the high leadership position that he was afforded with a very large 'lulu' (a euphemism for salary). In addition he should have appreciated all the perks, power, patronage and the benefits that came with the opportunity to serve the membership. He should have had the intentions to render pro bono publico service.
That would have been the ideal situation however now he finds he has been accused of heinous acts that will lead to jail time. But all of a sudden, the importance of the title of secretary treasurer is becoming crystal-clear. In recent weeks, thank god he was locked out of his office as a preventive and prudent measure against being allegedly accused of being a thief who has no place in our Local 100. They have halted many or all of his duties in the wake of allegations of sloppiness, shortcuts, fraud, thievery, false statements, and failure to disclose information. A potential nightmare situation has emerged that has spooked not only the membership but the executive board as well.
He failed to maintain the integrity, ethics, and professional standards of the secretary of treasurer office. Now he is in a disciplinary proceeding, and we here in why did you join the union do not agree with the executive board affording Israel Rivera Jr his pay whereas the general membership if they are in a similar situation they would not be  afforded the same courtesy. That would be a double standard. We urge the executive board to convene an emergency meeting to disqualify him from the membership of Local 100 as well as temporarily stop his pay until things are cleared up. The matter should be in the hands of the Manhattan District Attorney or Bronx District Attorney so that a criminal investigation could be undertaken to find out the truth of the matter. Rather than having positions being used for personal gain, which was exactly what occurred in this instance.
The ethically challenged Israel Rivera Jr soon-to-be imprisoned and a future felon, has no ties to Mabstoa and presents no evidence of any interest in Local 100 issues. It didn't surprise anyone when he points fingers elsewhere. His outrageous affront wasn't a simple error and really reflected the beliefs he has which is an out-and-out deliberate insult. Or maybe it is a 'Freudian slip' that reveals some other agenda lurking deep in the subconscious.
Israel Rivera Jr as more time passes the more one has to come to the conclusion that the soft spoken image is nothing more than a con artist who conned John Samuelsen and a willing group of naive, ecumenically minded members (the Kumbaya crowd) into believing that he is an honorable member. His hands are dirty and he has a hell of a nerve trying to imply otherwise.

  1. Izzy is a shame and embarrassment to Local 100, himself and the union movement as a whole. I will be happy when I hear that Izzy is sentenced to prison. What will his cheerleader Tommy "A legend in my own mind" Creegan be doing then? He joins the list of losers Izzy has managed to assemble,,,Charlie "Put me in coach" Ayala, Ricky "Dick" Figueroa, Ray "Who will pull my strings now that Izzy is gone" Rosario. Did I leave anyone out?

    Burn baby burn, Izzy Inferno!!!!
