Larry Hanley congratulations

We congratulate the Amalgamated Transit Union for electing Larry Hanley as president. He deserves his win and the Amalgamated Transit Union will definitely benefit with his forward looking strategies and thinking.
We here in why did you join the union appreciate his wisdom in seeking input and discussion from the membership. Specifically for a $5 voluntary contribution that was accepted widely by the ATU membership with open hearts.
We assume Samuelsen wanted to copy your accomplishment and wanted to show you that he can do better. That’s why he got the executive board to shove the $5 assessment down the throats of all the membership. However he overlooked your strategy which took months of discussions. Also how you earned the goodwill of the ATU membership voluntarily and how you respected those who declined to contribute without arousing rancor. We believe now he has learned the lesson of his toxic decision and that the membership resents it. It is our belief that ‘if you want to gather honey, don't kick over the beehive’ and imposing his will on the rest of us by denying those who dissent or oppose it. That cannot be tolerated and shows how troubled the Local 100 has become.
We encourage you Larry Hanley to call Samuelsen frequently and spare him some of your wise advice. Advise him that he has to let go of those hangers on, those cowards,  backstabbers and used up car salesmen. Instead he should seek forward looking strategies for the benefit of the membership.
We know Samuelsen is full of pride, and is a sincere and loyal person. Those qualities are in effect his weaknesses because it blinds his judgement as a leader by allowing himself to be swayed by his buddies. He has to look at what is required for the membership as a whole to be an effective leader. Therefore Mr. Hanley with your wisdom you can counsel him frequently and please do bring him a gift, a book by Dale Carnegie titled How to win friends & influence people. Also let him know that instead of setting our sights to rival with other unions we have to focus on changing Local 100 into the best union possible.
Bus operator Larry Hanley advice Samuelsen to end this assessment in six months time due to the fact that there are members of the executive board that want to extend this toxic assessment and undermine him for a year which will lead to turmoil in this chaotic toxic environment. We also seek that you should advice him that he should reach out to the membership and let them know that there was no malice behind his toxic decision.
